What We Believe

WE BELIEVE IN . . .

The infallibility of scripture both Old and New Testament.

That every verse of scripture is inspired by God. His word carries the power and authority to set the captive free.

(II Tim. 3:15-17, I Thess. 2:13, II Peter 1:21)

One God.

That He is eternally existing equally in all 3 persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Deut. 6:4, Isa. 43:10-11, Matt. 28:19, Luke 3:22)

Jesus Christ as Deity.

The He is the fullness of the Godhead made flesh.

(Rom. 9:5, John 1:1, John 5:18, 10:30, 14:9)

The fall of man.

Man was created upright, in the image and likeness of Christ. However by a voluntary act, he fell into a state of sinfulness that condemned him to eternal separation from God.

(Gen. 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6, Rom. 5:12-19, 3:23)

The Salvation of Man.

Man’s only hope for salvation is through the shed blood of Jesus. This salvation is received through repentance towards God and faith in Jesus.

(Acts 4:12, John 3:3, Rom. 10:13-15 Eph. 2:8, Titus 2:11, 3:5-7)

Water Baptism.

This signifies an outward confession of faith representing the death of the old sinful life and the resurrection of the new life of hope.

(Matt. 3:13-17, Mark 16:16, Acts 8:37-39, I John 5-6)

The power of prayer.

It has the power to change any situation or circumstance. Heartfelt prayer will bring about healing, deliverance and restoration to those who earnestly believe.

(Phil 4:6, Luke 19:46, Rom. 12:12, I Thes. 5:17, II Chr. 7:14, Mark 9:29)

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

It is distinct from salvation. With it, comes the endowment of power for life and the work of the ministry. The initial evidence is speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives utterance.

(Acts 2:4, 4:8, 8:12-17, 10:44-48, 11:14-16, 15:7-9, Luke 24:49, I Cor. 12:1-31)

Divine Healing.

Jesus is the same today as He was when He walked the earth. Deliverance from sickness is provided for us in His atoning death.

(Isa. 53:4-5, Matt. 8:16-17, James 5:14-16)

Our Purpose.

We are the light of the world. The entire body of Christ is God’s hand extended throughout the earth. It is our calling to share the good news and to do the works of Him who sent us.

(Matt. 28:18-20, Matt. 5:14, John 9:4)
